Ali born in 1994, is a filmmaker based in Istanbul.
He made his first short film Synesthesia before the college in 2011 and it was screened at national film festivals. He directed a short documentary as a part of the Shades of Karaköy project supported by the EU Creative Europe Program, in 2018. He graduated from Bahcesehir University, BA in Photography and Video with great honor mention and many of his photography works have been exhibited in Berlin and Istanbul.
He was selected for IDFAcademy program in 33rd edition of the IDFA. He was part of a group of 60 filmmakers and producers.
He is currently working on his first feature, doc film, One of Those Creatures which was awarded at Istanbul Film Festival Meeting on the Bridge in 2020 and received The Whickers Bursary at Close Up in 2023.
Alongside his independent film practice, Ali works as a freelance director, editor, and photographer, creating fashion films and online commercial campaigns with over a decade of experience in visual storytelling and filmmaking.
